T-REX Tape is formulated with durable, extra-thick, sun-resistant materials to work longer and hold stronger than other utility tapes, in all kinds of weather.

T-REX Tape can be used for simple around-the-house fixes or extreme industrial repairs on a work site.

T-REX Tape consists of three different layers: a double-thick adhesive bringing together a tough, thick polyethylene skin and a reinforced inner cloth layer using an advanced technology called co-extrusion. The aggressive adhesive is melted and pressed through a high-tensile, woven fabric and into the molten polyethylene skin using heat and pressure to lock the layers together. This is what gives T-REX Tape four times the staying power, three times the holding power and two times the bite compared to regular tapes.

This double-thick, super-aggressive adhesive allows the tape to offer superior hold on more surfaces than other ordinary tapes, including rougher and dirtier surfaces in a wide range of temperatures and humidity levels. T-REX Tape also is specifically designed with a thick sun-resistant skin which gives the tape its famed holding power—inside or outside.

ECHOtape introduces new tapes to its Insulation Tape Line.

ECHOtape introduces new tapes to its Insulation Tape Line.

ECHOtape, a pressure sensitive tape supplier, introduced new tapes to its already impressive Insulation Tape Line. The Polypropylene Facing Tapes and All Temperature ASJ Facing Tapes showcase the company’s continued commitment to the building and construction sectors.

Introduced earlier this year, ECHOtape’s Insulation Tape Line initially featured four new products for residential and commercial contractors. These include an All Purpose Aluminum Foil Tape, an All Purpose White Aluminum Foil Tape, an All Temperature FSK Insulation Tape, and a Cold Weather Double Coated Polyester Tape to be used in the mechanical insulation industry, as well as with reflective insulation systems. The line expands to include Polypropylene Facing Tapes and All Temperature ASJ Facing Tape.

The Polypropylene Facing Tapes from ECHOtape are used with Lamtec faced insulation. Three products are being launched that include facing tapes used to join and seal WMP-VR, WMP-VR-R Plus and WMP-10 faced insulation. Every product is coated with a high performance cold weather acrylic adhesive and designed for tear resistant sealing. All of ECHOtape’s Polypropylene Facing Tapes are made with release liners that are easily removed and provide efficient on-site applications, are available in a number of sizes, and can be customized for a specific application.

ECHOtape’s All Temperature ASJ Facing Tape is made for use as a closure system for All Service Jacketing (ASJ) faced fiberglass duct board and pipe insulation. The All Temperature ASJ Facing Tape is also coated with ECHOtape’s high performance cold weather acrylic adhesive. Like the rest of the Insulation Tape Line, the All Temperature ASJ Facing Tape is made with release liners that are easily removed to provide efficient on-site applications. They are also available in a number of sizes and can be customized for specific applications.

Both the Polypropylene and All Temperature ASJ Facing Tapes will initially be available through Service Partners, one of the largest distributors of insulation products in the United States.

Elastomeric Waterproofing Acrylic Seals Wood and Concrete Decks

DECK GUARDIAN from Nationwide Coatings

DECK GUARDIAN from Nationwide Coatings

DECK GUARDIAN from Nationwide Coatings is an elastomeric waterproofing acrylic, insulating ceramic, high build, wood and concrete deck-over coating. It is a high technology waterborne formulation of elastomeric and 100 percent acrylic resin resulting in a flexible, yet tough and
durable, aesthetically pleasing deck surface.

It can expand and contract with porous wood, yet is durable and hard enough to accommodate deck traffic. The product effectively penetrates, seals, waterproofs and protects new wood and aged wood while resisting moisture penetration, and subsequent rotting and decay, thus protecting against cracking, splitting and warping of wood.

DECK GUARDIAN can fill dimensionally unstable cracks up to 1/4 inch. It has excellent mildew resistance and possesses ultraviolet resisting trans-oxides and cerium nano-particles plus light stabilizing tinuvins that slow down the damaging effects of the sun’s U.V. rays. It protects and beautifies wood surfaces and can be tinted to most any color. Longevity and wear is relative to the amount of foot traffic to which the product is subjected. Periodic recoating of high traffic areas may be necessary.

DECK GUARDIAN has a sand pumice mixture additive called DECK GUARDIAN SKID-TEX that can be added prior to coating to create a beautiful texture finish with excellent anti-skid properties. The amount of DECK GUARDIAN SKID-TEX can be adjusted to be a light texture or heavy texture depending on desired preference. DECK GUARDIAN is ideal for waterproofing and restoration of damaged decks and patios instead of total replacement.

Titebond Roof Plus Sealant

Titebond Roof Plus Sealant

Varied substrates comprise roofing materials, and contractors need a roofing sealant sufficiently versatile to adhere to as many of them as possible. Now, they have one, with the introduction of Titebond Roof Plus Sealant.

Titebond developed its newest roof sealant for a wide variety of roofing applications, such as metal trim, solar roof systems, architectural metals, painted metals, aluminum and general roofing projects. It provides excellent adhesion to a range of substrates: shingle and tiled roofs, sheet roofing, metal roofs, wood forms, flashings, edge and ridge tiles and liquid applied roofs. In addition, contractors can apply the sealant in temperatures from 20 F to 100 F, advancing its status as a great all-around roof sealant.

Titebond develops its adhesives and sealants with the professional contractor in mind, so it’s no surprise that its newest sealant offers performance characteristics that will appeal to the pro – and, by extension, the skilled DIYer. Beyond the wide application temperature range, Roof Plus can speed up application, increasing contractor productivity. The ready-to-use formula requires no messy, time-consuming mixing; the contractor simply inserts the cartridge in the gun and tools for quicker application and neater joints. It easily fills properly prepared joints one-quarter to two-inches wide. In addition, its clear formulation blends with most substrates – although the contractor can paint it with any non-rigid paint within just two hours.

However quick the application time, when cured, Titebond Roof Plus Sealant is an extremely long-lasting, supple sealant. It provides a weather-tight seal with 560 percent elongation and 25 percent total joint movement. The contractor can leave the job site confident that the sealant will meet high performance standards.

The newest Titebond sealant also complies with ASTM C-920 Type S Grade NS Class 12.5 Use T, NT, M, A and O; Federal Specification TTS-00230C Type II Class B; and SCAQMD Rule #1168.

Sealant Approved by Miami Dade TAS-132

Bostik 915 Polyurethane Roofing Sealant

Bostik 915 Polyurethane Roofing Sealant

Bostik Inc. has announced that its 915 Polyurethane Roofing Sealant is the first and only product in its category to be approved by Miami Dade TAS-132 test specification.

Because of the hurricanes which have hit South Florida with such devastating force, new building codes were created, mandating stronger, higher-performance roofing sealants. These code requirements were very stringent. To address this, Bostik launched a comprehensive R&D program, focused to deliver a product formulated to combat hurricane uplift with the strongest bond possible. This resulted in 915 Sealant being brought to market.

Bostik 915 offers elastic bonding. When buildings have movement, the product can flex, meaning less likelihood for the roofing system to break. Additionally, the material not only is a strong adhesive, it also functions as a durable waterproofing sealant. It offers a thorough warranty, covering material and labor.
