Cradle to Cradle is Accepting Product Design Challenge Entries

The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute is accepting entries from September 1st to December 1st, 2016 for the next Cradle to Cradle Product Design Challenge. The Institute is presenting the challenge series in partnership with Autodesk and with support from Alcoa Foundation. This is the fourth in a series of six global design challenges slated to run through year-end 2017.

Designers and students worldwide are invited to submit designs for innovative, sustainable products developed with Cradle to Cradle principles in mind.

There is no entry fee for the Challenge. To be eligible, entrants must complete a free two-hour online course, Designing Cradle to Cradle Certified Products for the Circular Economy. Entries are invited across four categories: Best Professional Project, Best Professional Project, Best Use of Aluminum, and Best Use of Autodesk Fusion 360 Software. Each winning project will receive US $2,000.

Submissions will be accepted through December 1st, 2016. A judging panel of designers, sustainability professionals and industry leaders will determine the winning entries, which will be announced in January, 2017.
