Owens Corning’s Roof Deployment Project Hits Milestone

Roof Deployment Project

Roof Deployment ProjectAs November observances celebrate military veterans and giving back, Owens Corning Roofing and members of its Platinum Contractor Network continue to team up with Habitat for Humanity to thank American heroes by donating and installing new roofs. Since launching in 2016, the Roof Deployment Project has donated new roofs to 55 military families in 22 states.

On Nov. 21, Owens Corning Roofing celebrated the completion of the 32nd Roof Deployment Project this year. Working with its partners at Habitat for Humanity and Platinum Contractor Network members, the Roof Deployment Project aims to complete several additional roof installations by year’s end.

The Roof Deployment Project brings together Owens Corning Roofing, members of its independent Platinum Contractor Network, and Habitat for Humanity to identify, honor and protect military veterans and their families. Habitat for Humanity identifies veterans who are in need of roof replacements but cannot afford the costs on their own, Owens Corning donates roofing materials, and independent Platinum Preferred Contractor members donate the installation labor.

As the Roof Deployment Project builds upon Owens Corning Roofing’s relationship with Habitat for Humanity, it has also facilitated introductions to other organizations serving veterans, such as Purple Heart Homes.
