Reed’s Metals LLC Makes Significant New Equipment Investment

Reed’s Metals LLC has made another significant investment to their business by installing two new pieces of equipment at their Brookhaven, MS facility.

Reed’s first new piece of equipment enables the production of an advanced state-of-the-art TS-324 Trapezoidal Standing Seam Roof System, licensed from BRS (Building Research Systems, Inc.). This “floating” system is superior in wind-uplift resistance, water tightness and thermal expansion and offers various seaming methods. These properties are required for large commercial buildings (200’ wide and over) and is designed and certified to meet the most stringent building codes. One of the seaming options available, called QuadLok seam, is specifically designed for extremely windy areas such as coastal regions.

The second piece of equipment will produce the M-Panel, a traditional commercial roofing and wall panel used in mini-storage units and other commercial buildings. This equipment also produces PBR Panels, an existing profile Reed’s supplies. The new equipment, therefore, doubles the capacity of these panels, providing our customers shorter lead-times.

“These installations are part of our continuing investment to help grow our business in key markets,” says Bernie Reed, Reed’s President, CEO and founder. “This new state-of-the-art equipment ensures fast production with quick order turn-around and gives us a high level of quality control. We can now go to market with 13 roofing panel profiles.”

The equipment is installed and fully operational.
