Samco Machinery Finds Rollforming and Metal Processing Representation in Australia

Samco Machinery, a global manufacturer of rollforming and metal processing solutions, has joined forces with Australian-based global company Metal Form Group, to provide representation for Samco in Australia and surrounding areas.

“For 42 years, Samco has managed growth internationally and strategically with our increasing customer base and diverse product line-up,” said Bob Repovs, Samco President and CEO. “Representation throughout the Australian market by Metal Form Group enables our existing customers and new prospects the convenience of local sales and service support.”

Metal Form Group (originally known as BMH Australia Pty Ltd) commenced operations in 1969 with drafting as its predominant business. In the 1980’s, the company expanded operations and a second company (Balmic International Pty Ltd) was born. That move saw increased focus in selling and servicing products used in supporting the metal stamping industry and in 2006 the business plan shifted from a local-based business to become a global company known as the Metal Form Group. The company has overseen steady growth progressing through various different sites in outer eastern Melbourne and now calls home a 10,000 square meter site located in Knoxfield, Victoria.

“Expertise in rollforming and metal forming processes in general comes from many years of experience and technical knowledge,” said Lindsay Izzard, Metal Form Group General Manager. “To join forces with a well-established, reputable company such as Samco brings exciting opportunities to the Australian roll forming market. As a team Samco and MFG have a vast knowledge of industry requirements and look forward to being able to offer the best quality and service to our customers.”

Like Samco, Metal Form Group is ISO 9001:2008 certified, and with both companies leveraging each other’s strengths, the prospect of offering Australian based customers “the total metal forming solution” is an exciting one.

“The Metal Form Group provides the channel to promote and deliver innovative technology and rollforming solutions to companies new to Samco within the Australian market. Having a great product is one thing; how to ensure a successful project and on-going partnership with a company on the other side of the world is another. This relationship bridges that concern,” said Repovs.
