Holiday House of Manitowoc County Inc. serves individuals in Manitowoc, Wis., who are affected by disabilities or handicaps. Its original metal roof was installed in 1967 when the building was constructed. Multiple roof coatings were applied over the lifespan of the roof. An MR-24 roof system from Butler Manufacturing, Kansas City, Mo., was installed as part of a low-profile metal-over-metal retrofit over the building’s current roof. A.C.E. Building Service, a Manitowoc-based Butler Builder, completed the 23,640-square-foot reroof project with no disruptions to the day-to-day operations of Holiday House. The reroof added 3 inches of insulation, which has since improved the thermal performance of the Holiday House roof system.
