SRS Distribution Enables Digital Business Using Contractor Applications

SRS Distribution Inc. announced the company has reached agreement with top contractor applications to enable real-time pricing and electronic order transmission for its loyal base of professional contractor customers using an Application Programming Interface (API).

“Innovation is key to the SRS culture and growth plans, and by enabling APIs that communicate directly with our industry leading distribution platform, we take our first step towards digitizing the contractor experience,” commented Sonya Wells, Senior Vice President of Information Services for SRS Distribution.

According to the company, integration will initially focus on providing professional contractors the ability to submit orders directly from each respective application, but will soon expand to other capabilities, such as real-time delivery tracking, scheduling, hotshot pickups and product availability.

“We recognize the unique value that each of our partners bring to our customer base, and by enabling these digital capabilities, we enrich and complete the end-to-end solution that each contractor application provides. We envision the contractor will estimate, price, order, and soon, track deliveries on the application of their choice.” said Patrick Garcia, Vice President of Innovation and Technology Adoption for SRS Distribution.

“JobProgress, iRoofing, JobNimbus, Xactware, EagleView, Core Logic, One Click Contractor and CutterCroix are among the select contractor applications that have chosen to align with SRS and will be the first to participate in this digital initiative. Co-development will simultaneously commence in June 2018 and target release date will be determined by each respective participant,” Garcia added.

“We have learned a lot through our existing partnership with EagleView Technology’s EagleView Construct software and we are excited to expand on that capability as we seek to make our entire family of companies easier to do business with,” Wells said.
