Temporary Roof Membrane Offers Solution for Storm-Damaged Roofs

FiberTite Blue Roof FiberTite Roofing Systems introduces its new temporary roofing membrane, FiberTite Blue Roof. The FiberTite Blue Roof is a fabric-reinforced thermoplastic roof membrane designed for use on flat commercial and industrial roofs to offer a temporary solution for damaged roofs until permanent repairs can be made. The coating on the temporary roof membrane provides UV resistant performance for up to one year, as well as abrasion resistance. The fabric reinforcement provides both tear and puncture resistance. It is available in rolls that are 100 inches wide by 100 feet long. According to the manufacturer, it is ideal for temporary repair of damage caused by disastrous weather events, and it can also be used for tear-off areas or new construction until the final roof assembly can be installed.

The temporary membrane can be made watertight by conventional commercial hot-air weld seaming equipment. Alternate temporary seaming and sealing methods may include the use of FiberTite FTR-101 General Purpose Sealant, waterproofing caulk sealants, or adhesive tapes including duct tape. FiberTite accessories, such as molded pipe seals and corners, flashing membrane and FiberTite FTR-101 Sealant, can be used to temporarily seal roof penetrations.

FiberTite Roofing Systems Launches Redesigned Website

FiberTite Roofing Systems, manufactured by Seaman Corp., launches its newly redesigned website.

“The overhaul of the FiberTite website allows for increased functionality and capability,” says Nick Kesslering, director of FiberTite sales. “Seaman Corp. is focused first and foremost on the needs of our customers. This new site will position us for future growth, giving our customers and salesforce the tools they need to access information on their time.”

The new website is designed to be user friendly, and to attract, engage, and inform customers.

“The launch of the FiberTite site is part of a grander plan of improving our engagement with our online audience,” reports Michelle Miller, Seaman Corp.’s marketing manager. “People rely on the internet more than ever to access documents and information instantaneously. As we continue to focus on our customers’needs, it became apparent that we strengthen our online presence.”

Seaman Corp. selected SyncShow Interactive, a Cleveland-based digital marketing firm, as a partner in the redesign and launch. SyncShow specializes in helping business-to-business clients improve their sales and lead generation strategies through digital marketing.

The companies started their partnership in early 2015 and launched a new corporate website in June. They will continue their partnership as they work to redevelop two additional sites that showcase Seaman Corp.’s additional main product lines, including XR Geomembranes and Shelter-Rite fabrics for architectural structure applications. Both sites are scheduled to launch yet this year.

Seaman Corp., manufacturer of FiberTite Roofing Systems, has been a worldwide manufacturer of innovative, high-performance coated fabrics since 1949. Using a unique, four-layer technology providing puncture, UV, chemical and ponding water resistance, FiberTite is the original Elvaloy KEE membrane with a 35-plus year history of performance.

Seaman Corp. Redesigns Website

Seaman Corp., an innovator and manufacturer of high-performance industrial fabrics since 1949, announces the launch of its newly redesigned corporate website.

“This is part of a major endeavor to improve our engagement with our online audience,” reports Michelle Miller, Seaman Corp.’s marketing manager. “Today, buyers are making the majority of their buying decisions online. Before they ever even talk to a human being, they conduct online research and they poll their social networks for advice. It’s imperative that companies like Seaman Corp. have an excellent online presence.”

To accomplish this, the company partnered with SyncShow, a Cleveland-based digital marketing firm to develop the new site. SyncShow specializes in helping business-to-business clients improve their sales and lead generation strategies through digital marketing.

“We picked SyncShow as a partner because they demonstrated cutting edge digital marketing expertise and because they could prove to us how their efforts drive results for their clients,” reports Kim Seaman, who collaborated on the project as a marketing specialist for Seaman.

The new website is designed to be user friendly, and to attract and engage customers, vendors and potential new hires. But, the overall goal is grander. John Crum, Seaman’s president and COO, defined it. “Seaman Corp. makes excellent products. But when someone buys from us, they get a lot more than a great product,” he says. “They get our people, our culture and they get the knowledge we’ve gained from being in this business for more than 65 years. We wanted to capture all of this and bring it to life with this new site.”

Seaman also hired Frank Greiner, a digital video strategist, to help. Owner of HD Werks, a video production company based in Alliance, Ohio, Frank worked closely with Seaman’s marketing team to create 10 new videos for the site. Each short video showcases something unique about Seaman Corp.’s expertise, its approach to customer care, its products, its customers and the people who work there every day.

The companies will continue their partnership as they work to redevelop three additional sites that showcase Seaman Corp.’s main product lines, including FiberTite Roofing Systems, XR Geomembranes and Shelter-Rite fabrics for architecture. All sites are scheduled to launch yet this year.
