New High-Performance Reciprocating Saw Blades

The L.S. Starrett Company offers its new series of “3X Power” Bi-Metal Reciprocating Saw Blades featuring teeth that cut more efficiently. According to the company, the blades enable users to make up to three times the number of cuts than conventional blades, and are engineered for use on corded and cordless saws. Starrett 3X Power blades are also highly resistant to breakage and feature a reinforced shank.

The Starrett line of 3X Power Bi-Metal Recip Blades includes blades for cutting wood, metal, multiple materials and heavy-duty cutting:

  • Wood cutting blades are available in 6″, 9″ and 12″ lengths, in 3 or 6 teeth per inch (TPI), and feature straight or tapered shape.
  • Metal cutting blades are available in 4″, 6″ and 8″ lengths, in 14, 18 or 24 TPI, and have a straight shape. 
  • Multi-material cutting blades cut metal, plastics, wood, and rubber and are available in 6″, 9″ and 12″ lengths, in 6 – 10, 10 and 10 – 14 TPI, and have a tapered or straight shape. In addition, a 12″, 10 – 14 TPI tapered blade that is ideal for cutting car bodies, is also offered.
  • King Cut 3X Heavy-Duty blades feature heat-treated teeth with a super-aggressive pitch set designed to slice through virtually any material. Exceptional strength, fast cutting action and long life make the blades ideal for heavy-duty demolition, emergency vehicle extrication and other demanding cutting applications. King Cut 3X Power Blades are available in 6″, 8″, 9″ and 12″ lengths, in 6-10, 10-14 and 18 TPI, and feature a straight or tapered shape.

New Bi-Metal Hole Saws Are Designed For Fast, Smooth Cutting

The L.S. Starrett Co. offers a new, improved version of the company’s Starrett Deep Cut Bi-Metal Hole Saws with a distinct variable pitch tooth design, featuring a pattern of seven different progressive teeth called NVP Tech (New Variable Pitch). According to the manufacturer, this new tooth pattern, along with a special tooth set developed specifically for it, delivers fast, aggressive cutting action, enabling more cuts in less time. The new Deep Cut hole saws also produce a smooth cutting action, resulting in easier operation. 

Starrett Deep Cut Hole Saws are designed specifically for cutting thicker material and feature a high-performance tooth material with extra Cobalt for enhanced heat and wear resistance. These saws have a hole depth of 2 inches (51mm) and are ideal for cutting metal or tubes with a wall thickness of more than 1/8 inch (3mm). For multi-purpose use, the aggressive tooth design cuts a wide range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals. Starrett Deep Cut Hole Saws are used for cutting wood, metal and plastics in different shapes, sheets, profiles and tubes, and are offered in an extensive range of sizes and pitches from 3/4 inch (19 mm) to 6 inches (152 mm) and a metric-only line ranging from 56 mm to 210 mm — a total of 55 SKUs.
