Graduates of NRCA University’s Future Executives Institute Are Announced

The NRCA University’s Future Executives Institute (FEI) has announced its graduates for 2017. Graduates were recognized during NRCA’s Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception held during NRCA’s 130th Annual Convention in Las Vegas.

FEI is a three-year program taught by Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management professors, industry leaders and field experts. It offers a look at business theory and practice. Those who attend benefit from industry networking opportunities while developing their understanding of skills in leading, managing and communicating.

NRCA Announces Officers and Directors at IRE

The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) announced its 2015-16 slate of officers and directors at its 128th annual convention held Feb. 24-26 in New Orleans.

Lindy Ryan, senior vice president of Tecta America Southeast LLC, Sanford, Fla., has been elected NRCA president, and Dennis Conway, principal and vice president of Commercial Roofers Inc., Las Vegas, was elected senior vice president. Jim Barr, president of Barr Roofing Co., Abilene, Texas; Chad Collins, president of Bone Dry Roofing Co., Bogart, Ga.; and Robert Morgan, chief operating officer of Upstate Roofing and Painting Inc., Rochester, N.Y., were elected vice presidents.

Nations Roof and Flynn America LP Join The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress

Nations Roof, Lithia Springs, Ga., and Flynn America LP, Kirkwood, Mo., have joined The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress at the Governor level. Governor membership is reserved for those who commit $50,000 to the Alliance during a three- to five-year period. Nations Roof and Flynn America’s commitments entitle them to participate in the project task forces established to guide the Alliance’s agenda and to attend the semiannual meetings of the full Alliance. The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress was established within the National Roofing Foundation (NRF) to create an endowment fund to serve as a highly focused resource for the roofing industry and its customers. The Alliance’s objectives are to conduct research and education projects that support high-quality programs for roofing contractors; ensure timely and forward-thinking industry responses to major economic and technological issues; and enhance the long-term viability and attractiveness of the industry to roofing workers. The Alliance also reaches out to the roofing community and its members and helps fund efforts dedicated to good works and charitable giving.
