TAMKO Building Products Inc. has redesigned TAMKO.com to provide easy access to visualization tools, product photos and useful information. With bold imagery, the site accentuates product charm and appeal for homeowners along with features that enable them to choose roofing shingles by color or style and easily locate a TAMKO Pro Certified Roofing Contractor. The responsive design optimizes the experience on popular devices and platforms, as well as enables visitors to share items across multiple social media channels. The site also includes a space for Team TAMKO, which is dedicated to professionals and builders and contains access to business-building tools. Additionally, application instructions, data sheets and literature are available directly from product pages.
IKO recently launched a redesigned commercial website to provide digital access to its full suite of commercial roofing, building envelope, and bridge, deck and waterproofing systems. The site, hosted at www.iko.com/comm, is specifically designed around the needs of architects, specifiers and roofing consultants. To learn what these industry professionals desired in a site layout, IKO surveyed them about website usability and accessibility. Participants shared that they wanted product and technical information that could easily be found in just a few clicks. They also wanted the ability to access the site across multiple devices, including desktop, tablet or mobile.
“Commercial roofing professionals and consultants need to be able to find information on roofing systems quickly — whether on the job site or at the office,” says Jeff Williams, brand director, IKO North America. “We know their time is valuable, and we wanted to create a design that would not only be visually appealing, but also easy to navigate and function to fit their needs.”
The revamped commercial website serves as a hub for all of IKO’s asphalt low slope roofing systems and accessories, including built-up roofing (BUR), cold applied, heat welded, self adhered and more. Users can also find information on IKO’s building envelope and bridge deck and waterproofing membrane systems and accessories, along with wall insulation and air/vapour barrier systems.
“One of the differentiating qualities of IKO’s commercial roofing program is that we provide a systems solution with a full suite of roofing and building envelope products engineered to work together, not just individual components,” says Akif Amin, VP of Commercial Division, IKO North America. “We have architects, consultants and specifiers covered with site design that makes it easy to find, navigate and spec commercial roof system and building envelope solutions.”
In addition to details on all IKO commercial systems, website visitors can also access technical information like application guides, draft specifications and product data sheets, as well as training and education opportunities, among others.

“The overhaul of the FiberTite website allows for increased functionality and capability,” says Nick Kesslering, director of FiberTite sales. “Seaman Corp. is focused first and foremost on the needs of our customers. This new site will position us for future growth, giving our customers and salesforce the tools they need to access information on their time.”
The new website is designed to be user friendly, and to attract, engage, and inform customers.
“The launch of the FiberTite site is part of a grander plan of improving our engagement with our online audience,” reports Michelle Miller, Seaman Corp.’s marketing manager. “People rely on the internet more than ever to access documents and information instantaneously. As we continue to focus on our customers’needs, it became apparent that we strengthen our online presence.”
Seaman Corp. selected SyncShow Interactive, a Cleveland-based digital marketing firm, as a partner in the redesign and launch. SyncShow specializes in helping business-to-business clients improve their sales and lead generation strategies through digital marketing.
The companies started their partnership in early 2015 and launched a new corporate website in June. They will continue their partnership as they work to redevelop two additional sites that showcase Seaman Corp.’s additional main product lines, including XR Geomembranes and Shelter-Rite fabrics for architectural structure applications. Both sites are scheduled to launch yet this year.
Seaman Corp., manufacturer of FiberTite Roofing Systems, has been a worldwide manufacturer of innovative, high-performance coated fabrics since 1949. Using a unique, four-layer technology providing puncture, UV, chemical and ponding water resistance, FiberTite is the original Elvaloy KEE membrane with a 35-plus year history of performance.
Major Industries, manufacturer of energy-saving skylights and translucent wall systems, redesigns its website to make it easier for architects, designers, specifiers and contractors to find the information they need while incorporating new features that allow for easier access to the staff, as well as its network of independent representatives.
“The new website was developed in response to a changing market,” states Mark Mitchell, marketing manager for Major Industries. “New and current customers want access to materials and information quickly, whether it’s a spec or contact information for their local representative. Finding that information should be as simple as possible.”
The new site features a searchable map to make locating Major’s independent representatives simpler, an “About Us” page with staff pictures and links to members of Major’s team, and a revamped image gallery. The site also features a Rep Portal, designed to allow our outside representatives easy access to training materials, quick sample and promotional item ordering and more.
