The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress Now Accepting Nominations for MVP and Gold Circle Awards

The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress has announced it is accepting nominations for two major awards programs—the 2018-19 Most Valuable Player (MVP) and the 2019 Gold Circle Awards.

MVP Awards

In its 19th year, the MVP Program honors leadership in the field. Roofing contracting firms can nominate any field roofing worker, foreman or superintendent. No more than three nominations per company branch will be accepted. Distributors and supplier firms may nominate up to five warehouse employees, warehouse foremen, drivers or equipment operators. Self-nominations are not accepted.

Individuals can be nominated for their outstanding on-the-job performance and/or workmanship, outstanding performance or other outstanding contributions outside the workplace.

A maximum of 10 outstanding roofing professionals will be honored. One winner will be chosen as Professional Roofing’s Best of the Best, an honor co-sponsored by OMG Roofing Products, Agawam, Mass. The Best of the Best winner also is featured in an article in Professional Roofing.

Entries may be submitted by completing an official entry form, providing detailed descriptions of specific attributes, activities and other factors that make individuals noteworthy or unique. All entries must be submitted by Nov. 16, 2018.

Gold Circle Awards

The prestigious Gold Circle Awards honor outstanding contributions and unique roofing-related jobs and services. National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) members are encouraged to submit their best work in the following categories: Outstanding Workmanship; Innovative Solutions; and Safety Preparedness and Performance.

Entries should include detailed descriptions of the project and examples of what made it challenging, working conditions and materials used. See The Alliance website for complete rules and entry preparation details. Deadline for entries is Oct. 12, 2018.

All entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges within the roofing industry. The highest-ranking entries will determine the winner.

MVP and Gold Circle Award Winners will be honored during NRCA’s 132nd Annual Convention held Feb. 11-13, 2019, in Nashville.
