Air and Water Resistive Barrier Systems for Walls

Siplast, a Standard Industries company, announced the national launch of Siplast WALLcontrol Air & Water-Resistive Barrier (AWB) Systems, marking the company’s continued expansion into the building enclosure space. The WALLcontrol AWB Systems include wall membranes, critical transition membranes, and accessories that provide high-performance solutions for above-grade vertical walls—helping to create a continuous air and water-resistive barrier for commercial buildings and enabling complex transitions from roofing and waterproofing systems.

“Design professionals today understand the importance of the continuity of air and water management for the full building enclosure,” said Benjamin Meyer, Siplast Building Enclosure Business Director. “We’re proud to support them with a full suite of above-grade air and water-resistive barrier systems that provide the same manufacturing quality and trusted performance that customers have come to know and expect from Siplast, while offering maximum compatibility with our roofing and waterproofing systems.”

Continuity of air and water management from roof systems, vertical walls, and waterproofing terminations is critical for commercial buildings to achieve durable designs, energy-efficient performance, and occupant health and comfort. As part of a holistically-designed building enclosure system, Siplast WALLcontrol systems can contribute towards optimized energy performance and improved indoor air quality for building occupants.

“Today, design professionals choose Siplast for high-performance roofing and waterproofing systems that protect mission-critical structures,” said Kirk Goodrum, Vice President and General Manager of Siplast. “They count on Siplast for unparalleled levels of service and partnership, and have trusted us to be there with them every step of the way through their projects. We’re pleased to now take the next step with Siplast WALLcontrol air and water-resistive barrier solutions for above-grade vertical walls.”

The new Siplast WALLcontrol system will be on display at the 2023 International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) conference from March 4th – 5th in Houston, Texas. Conference attendees can visit Siplast at Booth #717.
