Altenloh, Brinck & Co. unveiled a state of the art, 12,000-square-foot training center at its headquarters in Bryan, Ohio, made possible by the company’s expansion to its new packaging facility in Pioneer, Ohio.

“We are proud to open this newly built training center for not only training specific to plant operators, but also overall workforce development education,” said Allyn Luce, VP Manufacturing, Altenloh, Brinck & Co. “Building our new Pioneer packaging facility, and shifting team members and equipment to that location, enabled us to dedicate space at our home office for these important training needs.”

The new training center has one large training classroom with the capacity to fit 114 people or convert to four separate spaces for individual training rooms. Each room will feature new technology, including Clevertouch interactive smart boards for training, presentations, and collaboration.

The center will also feature an open space to accommodate full production equipment for hands-on operator training. Other training elements include hands-on training carts and individual modules for maintenance, controls, and robotic training. This training will be completed by a full-time, dedicated training staff with experience in continuous education and cold forming technology.

“The centerpiece of our Core Values is to Build Opportunities Through Growth,” Luce continued. “The new Pioneer plant and home office training center are examples of the company’s commitment to not only physical growth, but more importantly to our associates’ growth both personally and professionally.”

The Pioneer plant, which has been operational since December, required 30 new hires and significantly increased production efficiency with the use of fully integrated robotic equipment. The company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in April to officially unveil the new facility to the local community.

Altenloh, Brinck & Co. manufactures and distributes engineered fasteners under the SPAX brand name for the construction market, the TRUFAST brand for the commercial roofing industry, and the TRUFAST Walls brand for exterior building envelopes and facades.
