DCI (Design Components Inc.) supplied a METALWALK rooftop walkway system and two ladders for the new S-5! two-story headquarters in Black Forest, Colorado. This powder-coated black setup ensures safe access to an expansive solar array. S-5!’s goal was to blend into the area in a non-intrusive way. To achieve this goal DCI made sure the walkways and ladders harmonized with the overall look of the roof without standing out too much. The powder-coated black helps the system match the roof panels. The result is an aesthetically pleasing rooftop where all components blend nicely together. Another benefit of the powder coating is it supplies an extra layer of protection, which helps mitigate wear and tear from foot traffic and harsh weather.
