Elite Roofing Supply Continues its Tradition of Giving Back

Elite Roofing Supply (Elite), a locally owned, independent distributor of roofing materials and supplies, recently held its annual “Tools for School” program for its 250+ employees and their families. With the school year in full swing, the leadership at Elite understands the challenges and expenses related to getting children prepared for their education. To help ease the financial burden on its employees, Elite holds an annual event to provide the necessary tools for their children.

Started in 2016, the “Tools for School” program involves each of its 12 branch managers buying needed resources such as backpacks, lunch boxes and school supplies for every employee’s children ages three to 23 years of age who are enrolled in school. Employees provide the supply list given by the school, as well as what the children are interested in – whether it is a certain sports team or TV or movie character – so that they are provided materials that are uniquely suited to the student.

“We love this program because we value our employees and want to support their families in as many ways as possible,” commented Chief Operating Officer, Sarah Weiss. “The best part, however, is to see the smiles on the faces of these young students. I look forward to this time of year because of those happy faces.”
