New Line of Sealants

Polyglass launches the PolyFlash Family of Sealants. Building on the trusted chemistry of PolyFlash 1C, the company’s new sealants are designed to meet a wide range of application needs with enhanced features and benefits.

Silyl Terminated Polymer (STP) is the innovative chemistry powering PolyFlash 1C and the new range of high-performance sealants. The STP sealants are formaldehyde-free, isocyanate-free, solvent-free, non-toxic, with low VOCs and low odor. The sealants provide superior adhesion to various substrates without the need for a primer and maintain their physical properties across a wide service temperature range of -40°F to 200°F. Available in various colors, the STP sealants can also be painted over with other elastomerics for added versatility.

PolyFlash Sealant products include: 

• PolyFlash 1 PS Pourable Sealer: A one-component, semi-self-leveling sealer that reacts with moisture to create a durable, weather-resistant seal. Ideal for roof penetrations, pitch pans, metal roof seams, fasteners, and gutters. Suitable for wet, dry, and cold applications.
• PolyFlash HPS — High Performance Sealant and Adhesive: A high-strength, one-component hybrid polymer sealant/adhesive designed to endure severe environmental conditions. Perfect for construction joints, counter-flashings, expansion joints, door thresholds, window sills, and more. Adheres to a wide variety of materials, including roof tile, asphalt shingles, modified bitumen, EPDM, PVC, urethanes, and metals.
• PolyFlash MPS — Multipurpose Sealant: A versatile, 100% solids, one-component hybrid polymer sealant. This product withstands ponding water and adheres to most materials found in roofing and waterproofing applications. Ideal for moving joints, counter-flashings, expansion joints, door thresholds, and masonry.
• PolyFlash MPS Clear — Translucent Multipurpose Sealant: A transparent version of the multipurpose sealant, offering the same durability and adhesion. Excellent for applications where a clear finish is desired. Perfect for moving joints, metal roofing, door thresholds, window sills, and more.
• PolyFlash Flexible Curb Kit: A comprehensive roof penetration sealing kit that includes a flexible polymer curb, PolyFlash HPS, stainless steel locking clips, and PolyFlash 1PS. This kit can accommodate any roof penetration, forming an instant waterproof seal upon installation.
• PolyFlash 1C: A one-component, moisture-cure silane modified polyurethane white flashing compound designed for sealing various roofing and waterproofing details such as walls, curbs, vents, roof drains, pitch pans, and unusually shaped penetrations. When combined with PolyBrite Reinforcing Polyester, this product can easily solve typical and challenging flashing needs.
