ROOF MATERIALS

The existing roof experienced areas of ponding water that were remedied with spray foam that created a slope toward drains.

The following materials were used on the project:

  • Premiseal 2.8 Spray Foam (1 1/2-inch average thickness)
  • Premicote 2100 Silicone Roof Coating (30-mil minimum DFT, 20-year warranty)
  • No. 11 Ceramic Granules (35 pounds per square, embedded to final coat)
  • 2,490 lineal feet of 24-gauge custom-fabricated sheet metal for perimeter edge treatments, like wall caps and foam stops (in Colonial Red color). Four different metal profiles were required to accommodate various conditions.

ROOF REPORT

This reroof of a multi-level facility took place June 3 to 14, 2016. Total area of all levels, including vertical surfaces, was 28,700 square feet. The existing roof experienced areas of ponding water that were remedied with spray foam that created a slope toward drains. Large cracks in the existing membrane at the roof to wall interface also were rectified with spray foam. Cracking in flashing around an HVAC unit and chimney were repaired with spray foam. Existing air shafts were in poor condition and were encapsulated with spray foam to provide a watertight condition.
