Recover Metal Building Roofs with Metal
McElroy Metal has received patents on two frameless systems to recover the most prevalent metal roof panels in open-frame metal buildings: exposed fastener R-panels and 3-inch-tall trapezoidal standing seam. Both systems weigh about 2 pounds per square foot. The recover systems use tall clips, fasteners and insulation. With these solutions, a high-end standing-seam roof can be installed for about the same price or as little as 25 percent more as coating and single-ply alternatives. The new roof will have no end laps because the panels can be site-formed in continuous lengths, using one of McElroy’s job-site production vehicles. (There are different steps for recovering trapezoidal and R-panel systems.)
There are so man advantages to these metal buildings. I like that everything is easily replaceable. I really like that they are prefabricated so you know that the building is sound. It is also cheap because they don’t have all of these materials. It is essentially all metal.
