Kain Built offers the Ridge Reacher, which provides a safe, quick and easy way to access steep roofs. It can be assembled for use in about 30 seconds, and the Ridge Reacher’s low center of gravity and dual wheel design allows it to be rolled up the roof effortlessly without drifting side to side. The cross member automatically adjusts the Ridge Reacher to fit any pitch roof up to 14/12.
The Ridge Reacher is ideal in first man up situations, and it doubles as a roof anchor. Ridge Reacher meets or exceeds OSHA requirements for a roof anchor point when bolted down as outlined and defined in section 1926.502(d)(15). The accompanying shackle with cotter pin insert is compliant as well.
The Ridge Reacher is made of seamless 1/4-inch steel plate with a welded cross member. The tough and seamless steel design is not dependent on a pin to hold the ridge hook to the cross member or to hold the ridge hook together.
It won’t scratch metal or composite roofs. Tough, no-impact replaceable roof pads come stock with each unit.
The product comes ready to use and includes:
- One steel ridge hook with dual wheels and shackle.
- One 5/8-inch by 25-foot lifeline poly combo rope with double locking snap hook.
- A 16-foot adjustable extension pole. (Additional 8-foot aluminum pole extensions are available.)
