Roofing Alliance Seeks to Fund Projects For Betterment of the Roofing Industry

The Roofing Alliance is committed to promoting and supporting the advancement of the roofing industry and funds critical research, educational, technical and philanthropic projects to serve that purpose. The Roofing Alliance recently announced its annual call for funding requests; this year’s submittal deadline for funding applications is January 1, 2020.

The foundation has allocated more than $5 million to fund close to 50 programs and projects to support educational programs and ensure forward-thinking responses to economic and technological issues.

Bennett Judson, the Roofing Alliance’s executive director, notes $270,276 in project funding was approved in 2019 with about 70 percent of funding dollars earmarked for continuing projects and programs, such as the ongoing partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities, Roofing Alliance Student Competition and construction management partnerships with universities.

The Roofing Alliance seeks projects that enhance the performance of the U.S roofing industry. A few of the projects funded in 2019 focused on future workforce development, including providing funding for NRCA’s partnership with SkillsUSA to help build the professional reputation of roofing while increasing interest in roofing industry careers.
