I am a huge fan of synthetic underlayment! It lays flat under 3 tabs even in high humidity, is anti slip and has wonderful warranties. All of my installers love the 10 sq rolls! I don’t see the down side …. though it is more expensive, I think the extra dollar a square is worth every penny! I use subcontractors to install most of my roofs so I don’t see a savings as described in this blog but LOVE synthetics anyway. Wave of the future!
