Throughout the years, Derek Kantaskas has worked with a wide range of construction clients, including homebuilders, general contractors, developers, condominium associations, subcontractors, heavy construction companies, suppliers, property managers, and disaster remediation contractors. He practices in all aspects of construction law, including complex contract disputes, major condominium defect litigation, project delay claims, lien and bond disputes, construction defect claims, regulatory investigations, and copyright infringements.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining Cotney Construction Law, Derek Kantaskas worked for a full-service national law firm, specializing in construction litigation. Locally, Derek has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers for the past six years, he serves as co-chair of the Construction Law Section for the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and is a graduate of Leadership Tampa (Class of 2017).\u00a0 Nationally, Derek is an active member of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law, where he serves on the Division 9 Steering Committee.<\/p>\n
