WUKO Inc. will be hosting the first PREFA Academy event in the United States. The first training block will be taking place in January and February of 2023.
PREFA has enjoyed success throughout Europe for more than 75 years in developing, producing, and marketing roof and facade systems made from aluminum. In total, the PREFA Group employs around 640 people in 23 countries. Over 5,000 products for roof, facade, roof drainage, flood protection, solar panel installation systems, and appropriate accessories are produced exclusively in Austria and Germany. Each year, 3200 installation partners are trained in 20 training centers across Europe.
Courses available include:
PREFA Basic Hard Metal Course
January 25-26, 2023 and January 27-28, 2023
Course participants should have basic knowledge of hard metals (i.e. tools, cutting, folding, measuring).
Course objectives:
- Eaves/terminations
- Swiss folds (pinched seams)
- Chimney/roof lights
- Corner folds (dog ears/radius seams)
- Fit PREFA gutters (stop ends, expansion joints, etc.)
Class Duration: Two days. Location: Greensboro, NC
The cost is $ 550 per person (includes local sales tax, lunches and refreshments, all materials and equipment).
PREFA Roofers Course
January 30-31, 2023 and February 1-2, 2023
Course participants should have knowledge in pitched roofing and detailing.
Course objectives:
- Basic roofing with PREFA metal systems (i.e. rhomboids, roof tiles, shingles, etc.)
- Valleys, hips and ridges
- Roof penetrations
Class Duration: Two days. Location: Greensboro, NC
The cost is $ 550 per person (includes local sales tax, lunches and refreshments, all materials and equipment).
