Triangle Fastener Corp. has launched a complete line of corrosion-resistant zinc head screws. Available on the high-performance BLAZER Drill Screws, these fasteners are preferred for use in many warranted roof systems. The ZAMAC-5 Zinc Alloy Head provides superior strength and will not red rust. The carbon steel shank is TRI-SEAL 1,000-hours salt-spray- coated, which increases the corrosion resistance by more than 20 times compared to zinc-plated screws. An EPDM washer seals and weathers. Sizes include #12 and 1/4-inch diameters in BLAZER-3 and BLAZER-5 drill points in lengths up to 4 inches.

Green Span Profiles has added RidgeLine, a patented 2 3/8-inch-tall mechanically seamed roofing panel, covering 42 inches, with thickness options of 2 1/2, 3, 4 and 5 inches. The core is a continuously poured-in-place, polyisocyanurate insulating foam. Exterior and interior metal panels are available in 26-, 24- and 22-gauge Galvalume/G90 galvanized and stainless steel. The exterior finish is standard gloss PVDF coating. RidgeLine panels can be used on slopes as low as 1/2:12 and are available in standard lengths, measuring 12 to 53 feet, with custom lengths available on demand. The panel offers nominal R-8 per inch of insulation thickness; R-20 for the 2 1/2-inch panel.

Morin, a Kingspan Group company, has introduced the SymmeTry Roof Series, a mechanically seamed structural roof system that is symmetrical and hydrostatic by design. A symmetrical metal roof system does not “lap” over an adjacent panel like standard asymmetrical panels. Symmetrical panels install side by side and have a mechanically seamed “cap” that has two beads of continuous butyl sealant, creating a watertight seam. MORIN’s SymmeTry Roof Series vertical panel legs range from 1 1/2 to 3 inches in height. Because they are bidirectional, the panels can be installed going left to right, right to left, and start from any point of the roof. Symmetrical panels are specified and installed to allow for unlimited thermal expansion and contraction, providing the advantage of installing panels up to 300 feet in length.

DaVinci Multi-Width Slate tiles come in five different widths—12-, 10-, 9-, 7- and 6-inch—and are available in a number of different color blends.

Following the successful introduction of a Single-Width Slate 12-inch tile with an enhanced profile in early 2015, DaVinci Roofscapes showcased the availability of the more realistic profiles on the company’s Multi-Width Slate and Bellaforté Slate polymer roofing tiles at the 2016 International Builders’ Show.

Details on the edges of the DaVinci slate tiles now have a more accurate quarried look that replicates natural slate. Deeper impressions in the tiles make them appear thicker, even though they’re the same weight as the previous tiles.

Low-maintenance slate tiles from DaVinci resist algae and moss growth, come in 50 standard colors and are rated for installation in areas experiencing high winds, hail and wildfires. Custom Metal Components Inc. has created an innovative product—EZ Vent-N-Closure—designed to totally eliminate foam closure failure while ventilating the ridge at the same time. EZ Vent-N-Closure is a patented design that consists of a low-profile, continuous vent that is completely concealed by the metal ridge cap that goes on every metal roof. Its installation goes over the end of the metal sheet, thereby eliminating any chance for the foam closure to fall out or deteriorate from continued exposure to the elements, helping ventilate the roof more efficiently. EZ Vent-N-Closure saves time and money, as well as avoids the problems associated with foam rubber closures breaking down and falling out over time.
