Sheffield Metals International (SMI) launches its new product, CoreLine, a collection of textured, low-gloss, PVDF colors. The new product line is a result of years of collaboration between Sheffield Metals and Sherwin Williams.
“This is the culmination of a handful of industry trends and results from research and development with our paint partners, Sherwin Williams,” said Adam Mazzella, president of Sheffield Metals.
CoreLine will feature five new finishes for the Sheffield Metals standard 24-gauge color chart: black, dark bronze, medium bronze, charcoal gray, and a new color, Moonstone, which is a gray, shimmery, slate-looking finish.
“We’re really excited about Moonstone. We haven’t had anything like this on our color charts before, so we’re curious to see how the market responds to it,” Mazzella said.
CoreLine brings together the ultra-premium paint system benefits of PVDF like improved color retention, impressive fade characteristics, and brighter colors, while also providing a low-gloss, gritty, textured finish to improve grip retention and walkability. Typically, textured finishes have only been available for SMP paint systems. With demand already high for low-gloss products, CoreLine finishes will be a welcome addition to customers.
“We’re thrilled to bring this concept together,” Mazzella said. “Low gloss and textured finishes are two really big trends in the architectural paint system world right now.”
“This is something our customers have been asking for and it’s something we’ve worked on with our partners for several years,” Mazzella said. “Our sales team has been listening to our customers, and this is what the market wants to see. So, we’re really excited to see how everyone responds to CoreLine and I think it’s going to be a really positive response.”
Sheffield Metals will initially launch CoreLine in all locations and will include their standard 24 gauge warranty. Customers will also be able to order individual and packs of CoreLine color chips to see the new shades up close.
