O’Donnell Metal Deck Acquires Tombari Structural Products and Metal Deck Direct

O’Donnell Metal Deck announced that it has acquired Tombari Structural Products (TSP) and Metal Deck Direct (MDD), adding the metal deck distribution leaders in the Pacific Northwest and Tennessee to its growing national footprint.

O’Donnell Metal Deck (OMD), an independent distributor of metal deck and steel bar joist in the United States, has major sites in Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Pennsylvania, Phoenix, Spokane, and now Knoxville, Tennessee. 

The company acquired Tombari Structural Products, based in Spokane, Washington, in October 2023, followed by the addition of Metal Deck Direct, based in Lenoir City, Tennessee, just outside of Knoxville, one month later. 

Together, the companies service steel fabricators and contractors throughout the country. Tombari provides deep experience in larger, more complex projects including those with seismic loads. MDD adds more sales and operations expertise and brings deep relationships in Tennessee and the Southeast and Mid-South.

Slate Capital Group, LLC partnered with management to acquire OMD in 2020 to support the company’s expansion strategy.
