SPRI to Canvass ADT-1 Evaluation of Roofing Adhesives and Board Stock Test Standard

SPRI, the association representing sheet membrane and component suppliers to the commercial roofing industry, announced that it is partnering with FM Approvals to create a new standard, “Test Standard for Evaluation of Roofing Adhesive and Board Stock in Tensile Loading for Low Slope Roofing Systems.” The proposed standard will be canvassed for approval as an American National Standard.

The proposed standard is based on the FM Approvals existing small-scale test procedure for roofing adhesive and board stock evaluation. This standard provides requirements and procedures to determine failure loads for adhesive and board stock when tested for tensile resistance perpendicular to surface.

Those wishing to participate in the canvassing process should contact SPRI at [email protected].
